This recipe is also easily modified for vegetarian and gluten free diets. Swap out the ground turkey for brown lentils or tofu crumbles to make vegetarian-friendly American Chop Suey. Swap out the macaroni for the gluten free pasta of your choice and it becomes a hearty gluten-free meal. Yum!

With or without modifications, this tasty meal is a favorite in our house and I bet it will be in yours too. Try it tonight for dinner and make enough for leftovers tomorrow!
